My writing (poetry, fiction, essays) has appeared in, Zyzzyvva, Chaparral, The Pedestal Magazine, Crab Creek Review, Pool, Runes, Phoebe, Santa Barbara Independent, The Chattahoochee Review, Poetry NZ, Other Voices Int’l, anderbo.com, Askew Poetry Journal. the SCBWI-LA blog, and elsewhere. I’ve been a multiple Glimmer Train Finalist, a Rona Jaffe Award semi-finalist, and was awarded a fellowship to the Abroad Writers’ Conferences. I’ve attended Bread Loaf, the AWP, and am an active member of SCBWI. I am the author of the poetry chapbooks Nightmares With Moons (Pudding House Press) and, most recently, Valley Meditation (Finishing Line Press). My novel-in-progress won Runner Up in its middle grade category at the SCBWI-LA Skirball event, March, 2018. Currently, I am house-hunting for my middle-grade novel, Trouble Beneath The Waves, and revising aforementioned middle-grade novel-in-progress. A 7th generation Californian, I live in Los Angeles with my husband, our 5th Grader, and boisterous mini-zoo.
