My writing appears or is forthcoming in, ZYZZYVA, Chaparral, The Pedestal Magazine, Crab Creek Review, Phoebe, Santa Barbara Independent, The Chattahoochee Review, Askew Poetry Journal, SCBWI-LA blog, and elsewhere. I’ve been a multiple Glimmer Train Finalist, a Rona Jaffe Award semi-finalist, and received a poetry fellowship to the Abroad Writers’ Conferences. I’ve attended Bread Loaf, the AWP, and am an active member of SCBWI. I am the author of the poetry chapbooks: Nightmares With Moons (Pudding House Press) and Valley Meditation (Finishing Line Press). Both of my novels-in-progress have won Runner Up in their middle grade category at SCBWI-LA events. A 7th generation Californian, I live in Los Angeles with my husband, tween, and mini-zoo. My work tends to take place on/around or beneath our oceans–because the beach fixes everything.
