Beth–all I can say is: OMG YES.
Oh, I hear you. I too conquered my fear of immersing myself with 2 toddlers into a crowd. Not quite to the point I needed drugs, but a glass of some sort of beverage for the 21+ would have helped. It was totally worth it, yet happy I don\’t have to do this again for 364 days.
M–sometimes it takes a village to not only raise a child, but make sure he doesn’t get lost. If the village isn’t handy, perhaps a chocolate martini when it’s all over and they’re home safe in bed. Of course, if he gets lost IN the village, then we really have problems…Kettle corn! Kettle corn!
